The home owner wanted a drought tolerant landscape but still wanted the feel of space and calm that a lawn provides. We started with a clean slate. We chose to install a low growing ground cover that can be mowed every few months or left to grow to about 4-6" high. Additional perimeter plants and parkway plating all consisted of drought tolerant plants. Different color and textures were incorporated to provide interest. When complete, we accomplished having the "green space" the client envisioned while creating a water wise and interesting landscape.
